THE INFLUENCE OF REVELATION AND MAN’S WORKS

Allah there is nothing in creation worthy of worship except him. Nothing that has or had an existence is worthy of worship than that which gave it its existence. Allah has given everything something of Himself and of Himself is the Life. The material world has its life given by Allah and the spiritual world has its life given by Allah. However, both lives are immature when compared to the life of Allah.

SPIRITUAL AND MATERIAL INVESTMENT

This verse that we are speaking from is addressing investment. And the investment is made in the way of Allah. That is to be obedient and conscious to the way that Allah has intended. And in whatever endeavor we undertake we are to achieve with excellence. The deposit has to be of the highest quality possible to yield a greater return, the market place or environment has to meet excellent standards and the development has to be maintained by measures authorized by Allah and His Messenger.

THE DAY OF ASSEMBLY

We have the day called the Day of Assembly, or Jumuah. Muhammed The Prophet said that this day is the best day of the year. It is the day that the Muslim community assembles for the noon prayer on Friday. It is a very special gathering, for it is a gathering for education in the prayer. One of the highest forms of education is the education that we receive in our prayers. Our prayers consist of the reading of the Qur’an, and it is the discourse that occurs beneath the surface that reveals a message that elevates or graduates us to greater ascensions. It is this gathering that we are educated in knowing the Will of G-d, that we conform our Will to His Will. So we are asked, what is the condition of man when we assemble on Friday?

THE TRUE SPOKEN WORD

The true and just spoken word of Allah is the creation itself, or we can say the world. Thus, the world is His message. Whatever we find in the scriptures is but an explanation of the true worldview of the world in its essence. Allah creates then he guides and he guides us by that which he creates. Guidance also has inherent in its meaning “Gift.” Thus, the Word of Allah is a gift to humanity. And since all of humanity shares this world, all of humanity shares in the word of Allah, both in scripture and in the created things. Allah says, “With all that I have given you seek the hereafter, but don’t forget your share in this world.”

MUSLIM TOWN

OUR IMMEDIATE RESPONSIBILITY

The intellect - that is free of illusion, fallacy or deception - understands that the whole structure of the universe has the virtual inclination to foster within it a being that will be endowed with thought, capable of development, empowered over its own destiny, and able to rise above the subjugation of involuntary impulse, to move in the path of guidance by the light of its own intelligence, and to choose freely the path of ascent (sirat al-mustaqeem) or that of decline [a life of error (dalleen)].

G-D COMPREHENDS ALL SIGHTS

Early followers of the Qur’an and the early commentators differed as to whether Allah can be seen or not. Even today there are believers that wish to see Allah in a public form. Knowing this urge exist in many people religious leaders have used signs, symbols, and language of the pagan and idolaters to speak the pure language of revelation.

LIFE AND DEATH

Abraham And The Sceptic

Commentators of the Qur’an have written that the one who disputed with Abraham was Nimrod, King of Babylon. They give various accounts of the argument. One of them being, that when the people left for their celebration their idols were smashed. Upon returning, Abraham questioned them saying, “Do you worship that which you have created yourselves?” They then asked, “Who do you worship?” He replied, “I worship my Lord that gives life and causes death.”

MUHAMMED THE LAST PROPHET OF G-D

THE QUR’AN THE LAST REVELATION OF G-D

Muhammad comes in a progression, beginning with the first prophet that G-d missioned, Adam, though there are some that say that Adam is not a Prophet, and ending that progression with Muhammed (pbuh), the last, though some do not accept him as Prophet. Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and the like and Muhammad the last of them in the progression are all Prophets sent by G-d. And we do not separate any of them from the group of message bearers that brought guidance to humanity.

TRUE HUMAN GUIDANCE

COMES FROM WITHIN

We seek G-d’s guidance and that guidance is more of an internal supervision, direction and authority for us than being directed down a road or highway in the material sense of the word. We need a planned life for the future. Every human being is created not to live in the present only; G-d created us with a need in our nature to wonder how the future is going to be. We desire to be alive today so we can see what tomorrow brings. We have to prepare for the future. Our Prophet, Pbuh, said, “Live everyday as though you will live forever and live everyday as though this is your last.” Our curiosity drives us to know the conclusion of things. Allah says, “Travel through the earth and see what was the conclusion of those that came before you.”

MOVEMENT CREATED IN THE SOUL

FOR A BETTER MATERIAL LIFE

G-d placed man in this earth his environment to live in and be established. His environment consists of the mountains and rivers and homes, even homes carved in the hillsides. G-d has allowed man to benefit from this environment as he has made the clouds to send rain down to the earth that it will bring out the provisions in fruits and vegetation -- and the precious minerals and metals in the earth that man may find a livelihood for himself.  He has included the stars and the planets for use as well as aesthetic or tasteful beauty. This environment is also signs that will aid man in the development of his internal creation. G-d’s Mercy unto man can be read in the chapter called Ar-Rahman, The Merciful Benefactor.
