PRAYER AND THE READING The believers are commanded to establish prayer, which also means to establish or base your life upon the dictates of the Qur’an. In essence the Qur’an is the prayer of the believers, because it is that which is recited during the ritual of the prayer. So we are to enlighten and build our life (community life) upon the foundation and wisdom of the Qur’an. |
|
BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN COMMUNITY The believers are commanded to be regardful of G-d our Lord and Sustainer, and perform excellence in our occupations or fields of endeavor. For the believers being regardful of G-d means to perform your daily life as if G-d is observing every move that you make. |

SEEK THE QUALITY LIFE This verse speaks to those who have squandered their wealth exceeded the limits of extravagance, and have become so wasteful that they have destroyed their ethical and spiritual potential to the point that they have loss hope for the future. They have also neglected their responsibility to establish a productive life for those who were to succeed them. All of what they did was only to benefit themselves and it did not enhance or progress their future generation. |

Forgive us our sins and our extravagance in our matters, establish our feet firmly and assist us against the disbelieving people. This was the plea of those who remained steadfast in the face of adversity and sought pardon for not being attentive in their matters of concern. They hoped that they would be firmly establish and advance themselves in a community, resisting rancor and disbelieving people. |
